(CBS) The Blackhawks have added forward Daniel Carcillo to their training camp roster, they announced Friday morning. Carcillo played with Chicago in the 2011-’12 and 2012-’13 seasons.
The 29-year-old Carcillo tallied five points, 121 hits and 100 penalty minutes in a combined 57 games for the Kings and Rangers last season.
In 2012-’13, Carcillo tallied three points in 23 games for Chicago.
The Blackhawks now have 29 players on their roster — 16 forward, 10 defensemen and three goalies. They will dress 20 for regular-season games. They conclude their preseason slate tonight against the Rangers.
Chicago still needs to make a move to trim about $2.2 million off its salary cap before Thursday’s regular-season opener at Dallas.
